FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESIONS
The Honoured Muslim Network (HMN) is a faith-inspired global non-profit that strategically uplifts the Ummah through three pillars: securing futures for orphans, driving economic empowerment, and cultivating ethical leadership.
Our current mandates are:
The Honoured Orphans Network
Economic Empowerment (Barakah)
Values & Ethical Building (Akhlaq)
HMN is officially registered as a non-profit organization in Nigeria (Registration No. 147000) and in the United States (in the State of Texas). We are actively pursuing 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status in the U.S. to ensure all contributions are tax-deductible.
We uphold the highest standards of Amanah (trust) and financial transparency. We undergo annual independent audits, and our Annual Impact Report (detailing every dollar and program outcome) is available here: [https://ckarchive.com/b/r8u8hoh32onreb48nng83sdr0l666f7h2meg5].
Our current strategic impact areas are Nigeria and the United States. We are committed to expanding our reach to vulnerable communities in other African countries as our resources grow.
Yes, donations to our Honoured Orphans Network and targeted empowerment programs (like clean water) are Zakat-eligible for eligible recipients (the poor and needy). Our Zakat distribution is overseen by our resident Scholar, [Brother Adam Ahmad], for Sharia compliance. As always, please consult your local scholar for individual Zakat guidance.
Yes, every project is designed for Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity). By funding a well, a full college scholarship, or an orphan's education cycle, you are ensuring continuous reward for every lasting benefit provided.
90% of your donation goes directly to Program Support (Orphans, Empowerment, Leadership). Only 10% covers administration, ensuring we can maintain the necessary accountability, technological infrastructure, and strategic oversight to deliver effective, long-term impact.
Yes. We encourage designation. Our Executive Board, certified accountant, and resident Scholar ensure that your donation is meticulously tracked and allocated precisely according to your wishes, upholding our promise of Amanah.
You can easily cancel or modify your recurring donation by contacting us directly at [honouredon@gmail.com]. Alternatively, you may contact your bank or credit card provider. We appreciate your sustained support.
General support helps fund essential pooled resources for all eligible children. Full sponsorship covers one child's education, living, and mentorship needs completely, allowing you to establish a personal connection.
Our selection process is rigorous and multi-staged:
Detailed Application and Criteria Scoring (economic need, vulnerability).
Interview Panel Review and scoring by an independent committee.
Final Home Visit and Verification by our Outreach Officer.
This ensures resources reach those most in need.
